David Mategwa (ICUDE)

David Mategwa is a highly respected cooperative leader with extensive experience in the credit union sector across Kenya and Africa. As Chair of the Kenya National Police DT SACCO, he has demonstrated visionary leadership by transforming it into one of the continent’s most successful and reputable credit unions through strong governance, risk management, and strategic partnerships. He serves as Vice Chair of the Africa Cooperative Development Foundation, Board Member of the Cooperative Development Foundation of Canada (Kenya).

David also serves as a board of director at the African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA), and the Chair of Kenya Union of Savings & Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO). His outstanding leadership has earned him the Presidential Order of the Golden Warrior (OGW) and ACCOSCA’s Distinguished Service Award. A globally certified cooperative professional, he holds Advanced ADE, International CUDE, and Personify Leadership credentials, underscoring his commitment to cooperative excellence and innovation
