Baboucarr Jeng (ICUDE)

Baboucarr Jeng has many years of experience in education, development work and Institutional Building. He previously worked in Liberia as the Representative and Senior Advisor of the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation (DSIK) from March 2019 to June 30th 2023. Mr. Jeng currently serves as country Representative of the DSIK – Sierra Leone, a position he held since July 2023. The main intervention of DSIK in West Africa is to support the sustainable transformation of the financial sector by strengthening the credit union sector and promoting equal representation of women and youths.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Jeng served as the General Manager of the National Association of Cooperative Credit Unions of the Gambia for over a decade. He also served as a Technical Director of ACCOSCA for many years before taking up a new role with DSIK. He is an International Development Educator with a wealth of knowledge on Governance of Credit Unions
