Arnold Munene (ADE, DEEU)

Arnold Munene is the Group Managing Director of the Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives (KUSCCO), the nation’s premier umbrella body for the SACCO sector. An experienced co-operative professional with over 14 years in the movement, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of financial cooperatives in Kenya.

He is a distinguished development educator, certified as a SACCO Development Educator (ADE, DEEU). His deep practical knowledge is further validated by his credential as a Certified Member of the Institute of Certified Co-operative Professionals of Kenya (ICCPK).

Mr. Munene possesses a formidable academic background in strategic leadership, holding a Master of Business Administration(MBA.) in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration & Management, complemented by a Diploma in Co-operative Management.

His expertise spans corporate strategy, cooperative governance, stakeholder advocacy, and sectoral development, underpinned by a deep commitment to cooperative principles and values. Under his leadership, KUSCCO has re-strategized to strengthen governance, foster sustainable growth, and safeguard the long-term stability of member SACCOs.
